The Project

Four hundred and fifty-five square metres are distributed across seven independent villas that follow the natural fall of the slope, each one turned toward the sea and separated by dry-stone retaining walls and planted terraces. The structure is entirely reinforced concrete, rendered and lime-washed white so the volumes read as a single Cycladic settlement rather than a resort. Grey timber shutters, cane pergolas and stone stairs temper the light through the day, while interiors keep to whitewashed walls, exposed timber beams, seamless screed floors and simple oak furniture. Each villa opens through French doors onto a shaded terrace with olive trees in terracotta pots and an uninterrupted horizon. The development was delivered complete on a budget of €1,800,000 across a nineteen-month construction programme.
